Purpose and source hierarchy
Kalgoorlie.info publishes practical visitor and local-information guides. For changing facts, the preferred source is the organisation responsible for the fact: government department, local government, operator, venue or event organiser. Primary documents and direct notices are preferred to search snippets or copied summaries.
Facts, observations and opinions
Facts should be attributable and dated when they can change. Local observations are labelled as practical notes or editorial observations. They are not a substitute for legal, medical, emergency or operator advice.
Review and publication dates
A review date is changed only when a page has actually been checked. Template deployment or an automated build does not count as a content review. Temporary alerts and events expire through structured dates rather than permanent article wording.
Translation
English, German and French pages share factual dates, measurements, venues and alerts from central records. Translated explanatory copy may be edited separately. Official names are retained unless a well-established translated form exists.
AI assistance
Software, including AI-assisted tools, may help with research organisation, code, translation drafts or quality checks. Public claims still require editorial judgement and source checking. AI output is not treated as a source.
Corrections and independence
Readers can report problems through the corrections policy. Commercial relationships are disclosed and do not buy a favourable editorial conclusion.
